About this tour
A long day from Antalya to the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the Roman city of Hierapolis above them, with time to walk the terraces barefoot.

Pamukkale is about four hours inland from Antalya, so the day starts early, with a breakfast stop on the way. Your guide takes you first through Hierapolis: the necropolis, the Roman theatre and the main street of a spa town that stayed busy for more than a thousand years. After lunch you walk down the travertines, barefoot as the rules require, between pools of warm mineral water. Before the evening drive back to Antalya there is free time to swim among fallen columns in the Antique Pool, on a separate ticket.

- Shoes come off on the travertines. Bring a bag to carry them and sunglasses, as the white surface is bright.
