Çanakkale sits at the narrowest point of the Dardanelles, the strait between Europe and Asia. On the European shore lies the Gallipoli peninsula, where the 1915 campaign was fought; a short drive south on the Asian side is Troy. We run a guided day that crosses the strait to cover both, starting from the ferry pier in town, and provide guides for longer stays.
